Wassup!

I saw this picture of my baby nephew and all I could think of is the Budweiser commercial "Wassup" I swear I laughed, cried and smiled again...sob7an allah how a little baby could evoke such emotions...maybe because I haven't seen him yet, I haven't held him or spoiled him...I do feel I'm missing out on a lot...I wanna be there for all of those things. I'm going through a bad case of home sick right now because of the pictures...ma agool ila allah ye9eberny bas!

X-mass Kareem

I walked into the living room to see my roommates attempt of a Christmas tree with a Kuwaiti falvor, it made me smile. She had Bu Nasir on the tree; usually we hang him on the door.
So from Bu Naser, Bu S3ayed (my cat) and me wishing you all a Merry Christmas :)

Average Jane

Saturday night, my friends wanted to go clubbing…I wasn’t in the mood but I know I had to since one of the girls just graduated and she’s leaving soon…all the clubs were packed and it was just crazy…we were dancing the night away…but I wore the wrong shoes that night…I told them I’m gonna sit in the patio area…my feet couldn’t take it anymore…I was smoking my cigarette and text messaging some friends in Kuwait (I felt like a loser at that point) LOL…this gorgeous guy came up to me and asked me why I'm not drinking, I told him that I was the designated driver for the evening…he smiled and told me that sucked and he bought me a shirley temple, we started talking then the girls showed up, one of them just went crazy for him…I told her yalla hathee for9etich he just told me he’s available so she asked him to dance with her…they left and I went back to text messaging…they got back shortly and she was smiling at me…she got closer and whispered in my ears he likes YOU not me… I laughed and told her to get serious…she told me that he was asking about me the whole time they were dancing! I was like ME why me? Why this 6’3, tanned, green eyes, and physically fit gorgeous man would wanna be with me instead of this size 0 beautiful girl…that doesn’t happen to me…she left us alone…he sat next to me and started talking…I really enjoyed the conversation and I still didn’t buy the idea he was into me…it was last call and it was time to leave…he asked for my number…I gave it to him with compelete disbeliefe!
I’m the average Jane and this gorgeous man liked me more than the other girls! Wow my self-esteem just went through the roof!!

Tall…Kuwaiti...Men…

I was having a conversation with an old friend the other day about tall men. I was debating with her that there aren’t that many tall Kuwaiti men …you see I’m 5’11 (I think that’s 180 in centimeters) and that is considered very tall in Kuwait. I feel right in place here in the states bas never back home…I always STAND out in a crowd and I mean it literally. I never dated a Kuwaiti guy who was taller than me…he’s either my height or shorter…yes I dated shorter…I can’t believe it…LOL
I know some of you will answer and say yes there are many Kuwaiti men who are tall…I’m not talking mowaleed 1980 o 6ale3…I’m talking min mowaled 1969 to 1979…Do those men exist?

Any Seinfeld fans out there?

I just bought season 1&2 on DVD, I was pretty excited. I have to say this show just cracks me up. So I thought to myself what is my favorite episode? I have to say when Elaine decides who's sponge worthy LOL. What's your favorite episode?.

Christmas decorations are just fun and festive part of the holiday season. I was at a restaurant/lounge recently and I saw this so called Christmas tree. It was a bunch of jars and in every jar there was a Barbie doll! I thought it was creative yet a bit twisted! Posted by Hello

How bad things are REALLY in Kuwait?

I have been hearing a lot of negative stories lately on Kuwait. Many of my friends who graduated and went back home for good complained on how bad things are. I even came across some Kuwaitis who chose to live in the U.S for good because they felt they were not appreciated enough in their own country! It breaks my heart to see young talented people leave home and look else where for jobs and careers. IS Kuwait reaching that point? Or maybe some of us can't adapt to the society anymore? Is there hope? I'd like to think there is hope, I love my country enough to make me fight for changes. What do you think?

I'm not going to Kuwait this Christmas

I talked to my parents earlier today and they told me that I can't come home this Christmas. However, I'll meet them in Germany since my dad is going to have a minor surgery there (Al7emdallah nothing serious) I have to say I was a bit disappointed bas al7emdallah 3ala kil 7al at least I'll get to see my parents after all this time.
I just wanna thank you for all the support, it really meant a lot to me :)
